Java Architect

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Architect to join our team! You will work on a digital transformation project for one of the biggest industrial companies in the world with Headquater in Berlin. You will create applications from scratch and maintain existing code. You should be a team player and have excellent communication skills. Your goal will be to collaborate on designing and developing software.

Requirements

• Extensive professional experience in Java development and software architecture (5+ years)
• Very good knowledge of Java 8+, Spring, SpringBoot
• Good knowledge of REST APIs
• Experience with working with SQL (Postgres, MS SQL Server)
• Good knowledge of Maven, Gradle
• Attitude and willing to learn new technology
• Good communication skills and a team-player attitude
• Good verbal and written English

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, React, HTML/CSS, Continuous Integration
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum

Responsibilities

• Application design and review
• Build back-end application functionality 
• Troubleshooting and resolving customer issues
• Identifying and defining technical requirements, dependencies in Epics/User Stories
• Mentoring development engineers and help resolve technical issues
• Developing core application frameworks/features 
• Working with internal and external teams
