Senior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a software engineer and cloud practitioner who will be thrilled to work on an ambitious project. You will be definitely working very close with a customer and the development teams to understand the system architecture to make wise decisions regarding the migration to a cloud. The final solution shall be cloud-agnostic, well automated, secure, and performant. If you have a DevOps track record then your life will be easier. Requirements:

• 5+ years of commercial experience as a DevOps
• Experience with containerization and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes preferred) is a plus
• Strong Linux administration experience (Ubuntu, RedHat preferable) including installation, security hardening, services, packaging, etc.
• Strong shell scripting or Python scripting experience
• Database administration experience (PostgreSQL, Cassandra preferable)
• Experience with Virtualization technologies (OpenStack, vCenter) and Hypervisors (ESXI, KVM)
• Understanding of networking (routing, VPNs)
• Experience with any of: Ansible or Puppet or Shef
• Experience with version control systems Git
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Understanding Agile development methodologies e.g., test-driven development, continuous integration, code analysis etc.
• Experience with code review tools, like Gerrit, Jenkins
• Practical experience with CI/CD concept

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of OpenShift, Telecom-OSS/BSS- nice to have

Job Responsibilities:

• Make a good plan for a migration of existing architecture to a cloud
• Execute your migration plan
• Propose and provide solution for high-availability to avoid downtimes
• Document newly created architecture to make others day-to-day work more exciting
• Propose how to automate system administration daily routine tasks
• Provide solution for monitoring and alerting to avoid late night incident solving
• Cooperate with developers and QA engineers to solve problems that arise during service operation
