Experienced System Tester

We are looking for a skilled System Tester with the primary focus to design, implement and execute automated tests on our satellite terminal or infrastructure systems. Specification and execution of manual test cases will also be part of the tasks.

You will be part of our R&D teams on various terminal or infrastructure projects. Together with the Test team your job will be to identify test scenarios suitable for test automation. After specification and manual execution, you will design, implement and execute the automated test in the target environment. Our auto-test environment is based on Python, Pytest and Selenium using a BDD notation being executed from Jenkins.

As a System Tester your role will also be to represent our end users and ensure they get the best product. You must therefore also be able to work independently and in a structured manner and take responsibility for us delivering a product with a high quality.

As a System Tester your key responsibilities will be:

• Preparation of test plans and test specifications based on product requirements
• Design and construction of test environments
• Design, implementation, and execution of scripts for automated testing
• Verification and validation of new features and bug fixes
• Documentation of tests
• Troubleshooting and description of observed errors
• Regression testing and release testing of new software releases
• Review of requirements specifications and technical product descriptions

As a System Tester your qualifications should ideally be:

• Passionate about performing system tests
• Structured and systematic in your work
• Thorough and persistent, continuing until the task is solved
• Working independently, taking responsibility and daring to challenge the team to ensure a high quality
• A good team player who has easy dialogue with others, understanding that you grow by receiving or offering help to others
• Finding it natural to document your work
• Able to oversee and familiarize yourself with a complex system
• Able to design and describe test scenarios based on requirements and function descriptions
• Able to write structured and accurate test specifications
• Good knowledge of networks and network protocols
• Experience with script programming (Python & Pytest) and version control system (Git)
• Experience with Linux & Docker R&D environment
• Knowledge of Jira for effective bug tracking and task managemen
• Background in testing or development on embedded systems is a plus
